"Rock out like the streets are empty except for you, your bicycle & your headphones." - Anis Mojgani
“He will live in every moment with you, because this is how he lives his life. He understands that happiness is no more than a string of moments that displace neutrality, and he is determined to tie as many of these strings together as he can. He also understands your need to live for yourself and that you have a bucketlist of your own. Understand his. Understand that your goals may at some points differ, but that independence is the cornerstone of a healthy relationship when it’s mutually respected. You may lose him for a bit, but he will always come home bearing a new story and a souvenir he picked up because it reminded him of you, like it was made for you, and because he missed you. You might be compelled to do the same. Make sure that independence is on your bucketlist, and make sure it’s checked. Independence will keep your relationship fresh and exciting, and when you’re together again it will forge a bond of unbreakable trust.”
“The universe gives you three choices: Change course when it taps you on the shoulder to tell you to go the other way; Change course when it is tired of tapping you on the shoulder, grabs you by both shoulders and shakes you to tell you to go the other way; Change course when it is tired of shaking you, pulls out the baseball bat and starts pummeling you, leaving you with no choice but to go the other way.”
What do you deem even harder than leaving your home country? Because today, I did just that - that thing harder than fleeing. Although the answer is not what I hoped for, but I survived unscathed. That’s the thing about returning from death and erasing your past, not many things could break you any more.
“A growing body of research shows that when you share a laugh with someone, you’re mirroring not only one another’s body language, but also the hormonal and neuronal activity, prompting a mutual investment in each other’s well-being. That’s a bond of kindness–and you’ll need acts of kindness to make it in any career.”
“One of my plays is getting produced!” “What’s it about?” “So there’s this guy, and he really loves this one girl— she’s the girl of his dreams. But she’s going off to college. So he applies to every nearby college, just so he can be close to her. But the only college that accepts him is a clown college. But here’s the thing— he’s terrified of clowns.”
