Inspired by Sarah Kay’s 10 Things to Be True list/exercise, here’s mine:
- Love can have an expiry date.
- Families are not always right and sometimes they are the people you are forced to love. That is why we get to choose friends and partners.
- Words have power - they can break or elevate people’s spirits.
- Most of the times, you don’t need to change or understand someone. Just accept and love them the way they are. Unless they are murderers, or something like that.
- I will never let go of things or someone that I love without a fight.
- Sometimes a girl needs another city.
- Do not do things for the sake of anyone else. Do what makes you happy.
- There is no such thing as unconditional love - not even a mother’s, no.
- If I tell you I love you, it’s true - don’t let anyone make you think any different.
- I am not perfect, but I sure hell as well am worth it.
